Why I want promotion to be guaranteed sooner rather than later

Not for the joy and glory, but to stop all the flipping posts about different scenarios (and to stop myself doing them too).

And, in doing all of this, can we remember the very basic fact that two, yes that's two, teams get automatic promotion.
