I tried everything before having to break in physically. Even tried the

credit card trick so many burglars had been using on the old houses, but typically my house seems to be the one which is immune to it.

I have since got into the habit of leaving a spare key hidden in the office so the worst case scenario is having to spend an hour popping back to the Hague
