OK, most people agree but how good are we for next year?

I know some will claim its too early to worry about next year.

I think we may have a good oppotunity at the end of this season to give players like Rudd/Steer some first team experience.

In recent seasons the gap between LG1/champs doesnt look that big.
Players like Jason Scotland scored for fun in both but has struggled in the prem.

This suggests the current core of our team would do well in the champs without spending too much money.
