Zabeleta has been the biggest loose cannon at Man City without any agenda this season

He's just so clumsy, or, he's just not bothered about cards, and would rather stop a potential attack/goal and take the consequences

For me Tevez is quite passionate when he's up for something. He could be the one that turns. You examples are good choices too though
