Seems to be about right to get us up automatically, leaving those behind us needing more than 2 points a game to overhaul us (Leeds excepted).
So can we do it ?
Well, we have 4 absolute must-win home games against poor travellers. Yeovil (3-5-9), Stockport (3-4-9), Gillingham (0-4-12) and Carlisle (3-7-7).
Discount any points from 3 away games against teams with a combined home record of 31-16-3 for now. They are Huddersfield (10-6-0), Swindon (11-5-1) and Charlton (10-5-2).
This leaves 6 games to find 9 points.
Oldham away (4-5-5) - here is where clean sheets will be the key. We must defend well as a first priority in this type of game. Nick a goal and we win. But as we need to improve vastly from our recent shows, I can only hope for 0-0 and a point here.
Leeds home (8-4-3) - Leeds have been off colour recently, but had a morale boosting win on Tuesday. They will score against us, we must play well to get a point, tho we should have won at Elland Road. The sort of fixture where both teams are happy with a point. 1-1 or 2-2.
Tranmere away (7-2-7) - Tranmere don't draw many games at home, so this is likely to be no points or all 3. Could actually be the game that decides if we go up automatically. Norwich back on form and win 2-0.
MK Dons home (7-1-8) - Just the sort of team to win at Carrow Road. Sorry, nul points.
Leyton Orient away (6-5-5) - Tough to call today, even tougher in a few weeks. Let's get out with a point.
Bristol Rovers away (9-1-5) - Love playing mid table teams at the end of the season. They will already be on their hols. 3 points, watch us fly.
Total - 9 points making 21 in all. That's handy !!
