This is from my brother:
"One of my friends at work told me a funny (true) story the other day so I thought I?d share it with you. My friend has a mentally disabled teenage daughter and, as a consequence of this, knows other parents in the same situation. The other parents in this case have a son in his late teens and were so pleased with the progress that he was making that they decided that, for the first time, he was ready to leave at home on his own while they went out for a meal. When the time came they settled him down in front of the telly with everything he would need at hand and put on a Harry Potter DVD for him to watch while they were out. They gave him the phone and the number that he could contact them on if he needed them, made sure he was ok, and then went out to the restaurant. After a while their phone rang, their son was in a bit of a panic, he said ?Quick, come home. I?ve caught a troll and I?ve locked him in the cupboard!? At first they couldn?t believe their ears, but then remembering that he was watching Harry Potter, they calmed him down, explaining that it was only a film and that there wasn?t really a troll. He was still insistent but agreed to carry on watching the film. However, fairly soon the phone rang again and this time their son was in such a state, still insisting that there was a troll in the cupboard, that they had no choice but to leave their meal and go home to find out what was going on. When they opened the front door they heard a terrible din. There was crashing, banging, and shouting coming from the cupboard so they hurried over to open the door, and when they did they couldn?t believe their eyes. They looked down and standing in front of them was a very distressed little person (I?m not sure if the terms midget or dwarf are PC theses days). Apparently, he?d come to the door to deliver something, and their son, thinking that he was a troll, had scooped him up and locked him in the cupboard."
