Real Answer (which isn't as interesting) He's RAF.

Specifically Radar Tech so he's been over there a few times.
Couple in Port Stanley, usually up in the Radar Instalation itself, Mount Pleasant I think its called.

Lots of snow and penguins, and Nothing. Else. At. All.

Sort of place that would get hit first if they try anything.
