Obviously the club isn't going to do that for no reason.

My guess is the following.

They either wanted to terminate his contract ala Whaley but he probably refused a payoff agreement as he is on a decent wedge.

Probably also offered on loan a few times but most clubs couldnt afford his wages.

I am guessing we took some kind of loss on the shrewsbury loan deal which may be linked to payments for Grant Holt.

This is purely a business thing.

Cureton should have kept his mouth shut and acted like a professional.
