FAO CB41 re phone pennery

Three scenarios come to mind - off the record, like:

1) the company is a rogue - they didn't send SMSes they charged you for. Report to your operator.

2) Their reporting system was buggered and they thought they sent you SMSes which they didn't. Again, report to your operator

To the operator, the two scenarios above are the same. Doesn't matter whether it was malicious or just a result of incompetence - if you are charged for goods not received, then you won't be the only one and after multiple complaints from customers the service provider will be cut off immediately, fined, your costs reimbursed and potentially they could be prosecuted.

3) That the SMSes they sent were "underwater". It is very possible to send SMS messages which you would never notice. However, I'd be surprised since I wouldn't see the point - normally underwater SMSes are used to do stuff like update your phone's settings when the operator changes something like the SMS gateway number, or voicemail number etc.

But basically, report it. Telcos really hate SMS and other content providers who operate antisocially, as at the end of the day the customer will often initially blame the telco.

Shut up the rest of you - if Ben implemented private messaging then I wunt have had to have dun it would oi ?
