I think they've stopped supporting VC8 - google on anything related to VS 2005 or VC8 and there's not much after 2007. SP1 was released in 2006 I think.

Actually, it's not %D that's the problem - it seems to be not detecting the end of the format string. Debugging MFC now - don't f**king need this s**t!

[VC6 just ignores the %D and doesn't crash. Not my code, so have no idea what the developer intended (perhaps the day of the year, which is %j)]
