Or even in, say, WMP on the PC?
Can't think of any reason why 1 in 4 CDs would rip any differently to others unless they (or the CD drive) were damaged in any way. Well, maybe one - if the artwork on the actual CD is thick in one area and not another then it can spin unbalanced in some drives (if that makes sense) - or so I've read a long time ago.
