Anyone good with iTunes?

I've been gradually repopulating my iTunes library, importing stacks of CD's and I've never had this problem before but on some when listen back to them through itunes the quality is terrible and it almost sounds like radio interference. I know theres an import settings menu but I'm a bit lost with it, can anyone help?
