thoughts from the game

we were poor. no complaints from me with the result. to score that early was nice but didnt lead on to anything else - they came back at us well straightaway and probably deserved to equalise (although the corner that was given that eventually led to that looked a terrible decision)

second half wasn't very pretty. we were asleep at the corner when they went ahead. and then it looked as if nobody really had any idea of who was going to try and score for us (as shown by lambert throwing the doc up front towards the end). we clearly missed holt hugely. our crowd went pretty quiet but there wasnt much to get excited about. mcnamee put some crosses in, but johnson looked rather lost when he came on, not that we got the ball to him much. quite liked the look of whitbread though in his brief cameo. forster made one save that looked (from the other end of the pitch) out of this world.

pleased to see other results weren't too bad. hopefully this result won't hurt us too much, but we need a plan b if holt misses any more games.

ref - incompetent. had a feeling he'd left his cards at home and hadn't dared tell anyone. think he blew up at the end to avoid getting his cards out after a possible last man foul on them.

ht relay race was as much fun as anything apart from our goal.
