Yup, Drupal or Joomla. Entirely proprietary is of course

the most flexible and often yields the best results but the maintenance overhead is expensive.

I spent years in web development, but when I've built sites for my team and league, I just do it with Joomla these days. I could spend forever building something quite wonderful but, you know, horses for courses.
