Exactly. And that's the thing about the iPhone, at least at my company...

it's more honest than us trying to lock you into a contract. It's that people don't move so easily between providers if they are on a post-paid contract, so we use the iPhone to attract them. Then, of course, we have to give them great service to keep them.
