I was wondering if you could clear up a query I have, not just with NCFC but all football in general.
In terms of away allocations, does they away club advise of the amount of tickets which they want and pay up front for these? Then keep revenues from selling these tickets, and run the risk of making a loss if leaving tickets unsold? Or does this only happen when clubs (such as NCFC) have adjustable away capacity?
The reason I'm asking is that I'm obviously aware that Brentford appeared a bit upset about their ticket allocation last week, and it also seems that some Hartlepool fans couldn't get into Carrow Road yesterday due to not having tickets. I want to be able to point out the actual facts to portray NCFC in a positive light, rather than 'rumours' leading to negative PR.

Many thanks for the email, I will try and answer each of the points you have raised:
1) The visiting club will advise us of how many tickets they expect to sell, we then advise on the allocation options and they then choose - typically this conversation would happen around a month before the match. Increasing this allocation in the final days leading to a match is extremely difficult (as per Brentford) as the extra tickets are likely to have been sold to home supporters.
2) Ticket revenues belong to the home club, money taken in ticket sales by the visiting club is paid to the home club.
3) Clubs can charge for unsold tickets in the Premier League but not in the Football League.
4) There were a small number of Hartlepool fans and larger number of Norwich fans who couldn't get in on Saturday as we sold out leading up to kick off (home areas around 2pm and away seats at 3pm).
It's always a big disappointment to turn away any supporter, home or away, who wants to come to Carrow Road but the size of our support and our available capacity means that this can happen from time to time. Travelling to Carrow Road without a ticket can lead to this situation and we would always advise supporters to purchase their ticket in advance to guarantee entry and to avoid any possible disappointment on the day.
