He said that he was going to cross but then thought he'd shoot.
Couldn't really lose could he - if it hadn't gone in he could have jsut claimed the cross. But the goalkeeper clearly thought he was going to cross so perhaps it was deliberate.
Anyway, it went in and that's all I really care about!
