Under the sale of goods act an item must:

Match the description
Be fit for purpose
and be of satisfactory quality.

If it doesnt meet one of the above then the consumer's statutory rights have been and you can either demand a full refund or a replacement. If they dont have the item in stock they must give you a better quality tv.
