Coyle was a premiership manager when he turned it down thoguh

Lambert is some way off that, and will be in the summer, too.

And he played for Celtic for 8 years, and captained them to a European final. Whereas Coyle had no links to the club.

I don't think one should too much comfort from Coyle turning it down.
