they look Sooooooooooo cool, and the shuffley joggy control thing is amazing, but you have to take into account reliability and ease of repair, and especialy replacement of the Battery.
Ipod's have to be sent to the states to have a new battery fitted, sometimes within 18 months of purchase, the Sony can just be pulled out with a biro and a pair of tweezers.
Plus there's the HDD technology, drop your Ipod and you risk losing all your data,
The Sony HDD senses sudden changes in gravity and lifts the head off the disk, there's a 25 minute back up memory so jogging etc. does not affect play-back, and you data remains safe.
It's just a question of weiging up what you want from the player and making a choice based on that.
