ok

left house. remembered fuel guage in car permanently registering zero. not the best of starts. despite (because of?) advice on here to do a loop the loop around diss and thetford and other back street jaunts close to the dreaded suffolk exclusion zone I decided to head up the A47 way and duly got held up behind the slowest moving vehicles in the plannit. no major delays though and managed to catch up with the nodge cabbage's near birmingham due to my superb driving ability.

Arrived at titchy little ground to be ushered into carpark up the hill a 2 min walk from the away end. Got into ground no probs then, DISASTER struck.....

The till broke in the Pie shop. Ooooooh, there was much gnashing of teeth in the koo. Brummy gorillapigbird came out and apoligised for the "howeld oop" and the gnashing duly died down. I got to the front of the queue and politely asked for a "Dry Martini and the Seafood Platter" only to be told that they had "Poys, Hotdogz, Burgers, Sausage Rowells and NO ALKERHOL". I settled for a sausage roll and a coffee.

I made it back to my seat without further incident apart from a bit of banter with a stuart with omnidirectional teeth.

Titchy little ground not even half full and we must of had nearly half the attendance. the pitch was a right state. anyway, the game progressed as I feared with the enemy taking the initiative after a comedy of errors in defence. This tested my resolve as I knew our best plan was to keep a clean sheet and perhaps nick one on the break.

No matter, hoolahoops kept my spirits up and the equaliser would of been suffice for me at that time. (FAO: Oli Oli Oli, bit different playing a full game than just nipping on for quarter of an hour eh?) He ran his lickle legs off though but PL took him off at the right time. Thought QD looked to be trying too hard to be honest but he got the winner so I shant grumble. McNamee only got the ball twice but he did make me think all fuzzily (in a non-gay way) of little Ruellington Foxtrot. But without the comedy lugs.

The celebrations when the second went in were exceedingly bongo and made the whole trip worthwhile. Long time since I have ventured to an away fixture but given the efforts of Paul Lambert and the lads thus far this season I just felt it was my duty to make a f**king effort as well.

Green Ormy.
