Serious question..... FAO Mick Dennis, jayson blair or other journos

What kind of fact checking process goes into a story such as the "Norwich into admin" fairy tale.

Does it have to go through a number of editors/lawyers?

Especially when you are making a serious financial allegation which could have an effect on the clubs creditors and suppliers/vendors.

It seems strange that anyone writing the story would not spend some time contacting the club for comments.

Also does anyone have any info if the guy who wrote the story actually exists or is it some made up journo to print silly stories?
