I don't think you can blame the board either.

In the end the problem wasn't yesterday - it was Worthy's inactivity over the summer, as he allowed the squad to shrink while I imagine he sunned himself in Portugal.

I genuinely think his laziness might be part of the problem - this wasn't the first summer where he's left things late, and in the end not brought enough players in. And remember - over the summer, we were quite an attractive place to come for most championship players.

We're not now though.
