OK so I couldn't claim to do a better job and we all know that clubs overspend in order to feed the ambitions of fans and the drive of board members...

...but with hindsight the Utaka/Nugent dealing seems the epitome of rash pocket-burning financial (non)sense in today's game.

If we ever got to the Prem again, would we happily waive marquee signings and accept a season of kickings in order to see off the bank manager with the Sky money?
