Delia and the tramp

This tale is slightly ruined by my missing the end but still a bit amusing...

Just walking through Cambridge and heard a wintercomferter talking to his mates. "So I was standing outside the old haunted bookshop last night and these two nuns came along flanking another woman. I asked if she could spare some change and she said 'Do you know who I am' - and I realised that she was on the telly and then that it was that Delia Smith. Yeah Delia Smith."

At that point he crossed the road and I didn't really want to follow as I don't blend in too well with stringersrevenge's mates but one of his mates went 'fair play to her then' so I guess that means she put her hand in her pocket. Unless it means that she shared a sip of sherry with him.
