Just watched a DVD of Internazionale v Norwich City

It's the first time I've watched the whole game since the day itself, when I skived off games at school and snuck into the Science Lecture Theatre to watch it. My recollections were of incredible pride; but on watching it again, the dominance we enjoyed in the first half was just unbelievable, and can't ever have been matched by any other English side there. The first half possession stats must've been ridiculous!

In the studio, Lynam and Hansen were more complimentary of us than they probably ever were, before or since. And we did it with no Crook, Culverhouse or Butterworth, Megson (who was incredible), Woodthorpe, Prior and Ullathorne all playing, and Fox barely 70% fit. Poor Eadie had flu on the day of the game, meaning Cureton was on the bench; and the only thing we were missing were better crosses into the box. Oh, and just as at Chelsea three seasons ago, the pitch was a disgrace, and a big reason we couldn't score.

What a day, though. I'm more envious of all those there than you could possibly imagine. In my opinion, Inter was somehow even more special than Bayern.
