is Worthy's obvious stubbornness, which I believe will be his eventual downfall. I got the impression last season that he was well aware of the problems in the team - both in the selection and the tactics - but refused to change things due to it being an seen as an admission of failure. When all around could see the weaknesses and offered genuine alternatives, Worthy seemed to do the opposite or just stick to his guns just to prove a point, emphasising that he was in charge so everyone should just butt out.
The same seems to be happening now. I'm sure he's well aware of the fans' concerns about the defence and midfield and he may or may not share those concerns, but to address these problems now so late in the day would again have been an admission that he's got it wrong again so he's hoping things will work out thus proving he knows best.
I hope I'm wrong, I hope things do turn around, but I've just got this nagging worry that he cuts his nose off to spite his face just to prove a point at times.
