while he has added a few good players into the mix these days I am not sure that they are so much better than some of those we had before that we go from years of getting thumped to scoring for fun !

I mean, we'll never know whether I'm right or wrong of course, but do you really think Doc, Lappin, Russell, Martin, Wes, Semi (replaced now but has played a big part), Drury and Spillane have improved so dramatically over such a short time ?

Would Clingan and Croft no longer get into the team ? Or Alan Lee, Leroy Lita, David Marshall ?

Mind you, I do accept that Paul Lambert could well be a hooge difference - not necessarily just the tactical side, but as a leader. They do seem to want to play for him.
