that the board don't trust Worthy to sign anyone else. Being this late in the day and the fact that his efforts in the transfer market have hardly been inspired maybe the board told him to make do.

The Morrison thing could have going on for ages and been a long term target - allowing him to proceed.

As a board member with a manger like Worthy with no wins in the league - would you give him money to spend!
