iphone help !!!!

im gonna up grade to an iphone and either vodafone or o2 ...

o2 has got unlimited data and vodafone has 1gb free

some people are telling me 1gb is loads and will never go over it and other people tell me 1gb is crap

please help me as dont know what to do
