but also - I don't like this "we should be doing so much better with this group of players" line which I keep reading on here.

A BIG part of our problem is the current group of players. Despite being able to outspend most of our rivals, we have ended up with a woefully unbalanced squad, and a first team that is seriously short of quality.

Our defence is a shambles - all four of them, at the moment. Our midfield has only safri in it that you'd really trust, and he's no world-beater. And up front it's basically Deano on his own.

I genuinely don't understand why we should expect too much from the current squad we have. Which is why I find our complete lack of urgency in the transfer market so profoundly depressing.-
