what really really baffles me...

is that we are told that promotion is worth ?35m-ish (including parachute payments etc). So how come after all that extra dosh we still have a team which (with the exception of a single ?3m striker) is frankly no better than the one we had when we got promoted? We were in good financial shape before we went up supposedly, so where has all that money gone????
