well in a way i think it is part of the plan

1. Make sure the fans don't angry when we sign next to nobody (and if we sell any favourites)
2. ensure we get the best deal on the few players we do try to bring in
3. make foulger look like a hero when he stumps up 500k just before the window slams shut.

mcnamee obviously knows what he's doing more than doncaster did. we're clearly in debt upto our eyebrows but we're doing well with what resources we have and we're playing our cards in the right order.
