When I first used Winders it was 3.x

So

95 = 4
98 = 5
ME = 6
2000 = 7
XP = 8
Vista = 9

So the new one should be Windows 10, Shirley ?

Even if they only count from NT it doesn't work:

NT 4.0 = 4
2000 = 5
XP = 6
Vista = 7

So it should be 8 with that logic.

Anyone know where the name came from, other than Bristol ?
