Maybe Worthy is only looking at loans beacause

the board have told him he has brought in enough permanent players over the summer, most/all of which do not look up to the job. And the only funding they have left for HIM is for loans. The board are perhaps actually thinking, i will keep the 2m in the bank for January so that the new boss has money to spend on his players or Worthy can have it then providing he has got us out of trouble and in "the hunt".
