I told my children that they will only be getting Easter stuff if they became committed

christians. And wore sandals and played acoustic guitars and kept bothering people with stuff about god and the afterlife and that.

NB: This is not a dig at religion or religionists and whilst both can be the root of evil, I accept there are many good and well meaning people who are deluded about having a special imaginary friend in space or something.
