I dunno what influence he had in them appointing Hodgson, for example; but doubt it was negligible. Keith Edelman, the guy at Arsenal whose job McNally was heavily linked with? Like him, a commercial and marketing expert; also like him, a football background off the back of being in such a job because of his specialities.
