I would not say McNally has a football background. His CV features Sara Lee, L'Oreal and Courtaulds, then sales & marketing at Celtic (that'll be Andy McCullen then) and only four years as CEO at Fulham.

As for our success this season; the right players had clearly been signed (and I assume that the board had scouted or recommended none of them) but they had collectively been Gunn'd.

It is a bit similar to 00-01; everything looks to be a shambles yet only the slightest change (Worthy instead of Hammy) beings instant results.
