WTF has happened to the FA Cup?

some of the crowds todays were shocking......
For a Saturday.

Bolton 11,000
Boro 12,000 vs Man City
Portsmouth 11,000
Preston 7000 (who think they should be in the prem!)
Wigan 5,000

Has the big 4's harping on the champions league devalued the once greatest club cup competition in the world?

Is it just people are broke after Christmas or is it most clubs fans dont care that much anymore.
Norwich would have probably pulled over 23,000 against even a non-league side.
