What did Munby mean by this?

Have read yesterday's quotes again. And they still make very little sense to me.

"The fans have been behind Nigel. But they are curious at some decisions."

He added: "But what they don't know, and what I sometimes don't know, is what happens up at Colney in training and the psychological preparations before matches.

"When frustration breaks out they will attribute the things they see on the pitch as their only explanation."

What was he on about? Does anyone have any idea? Particularly that last sentence - whose frustration is he talking about? And the rest of it just doesn't make sense - "they will attribute the things they see on the pitch as their only explanation"????

You normally 'attribute' something to something else - ie you blame something. But the way he uses it there just doesn't make any sense to me.

Was he p*ssed?
