Paranoia, simple as.

But powerful. We know that a number of our squad would thrive in the Championship. It's not nailed on but there's an excellent chance we'll go up this year and the players will know that - but give them 90%-odds with us or 100%-odds with an existing mid-table chumps side...and you know, I'd still personally choose to stay where I was because to experience a promotion first-hand must be something really special, and with Lambert and McNally (who I think is doing really well) there's every chance we'd overperform next season.

Thing that got us into the Prem wasn't brilliant players, it was a *team* greater than the sum of its parts. That's what we've got at the minute. Good time to be a City fan (and I've been one for a few weeks now...)
