Just got back from the BBC Sports Personality awards

Wasn't surprised at the outcome. When I heard that Jessica Ennis had come third I pretty much felt then that Ryan Giggs had won it. The reaction that followed when they announced Jenson Button as the runner-up was somewhat heated.

As we had restricted view tickets we were allowed to stand on the red carpet and welcome the guests / nominees / hanger-ons etc. Jenson Button pretty much fulfilled every autograph request as did Fabio Capello. David Moyes was friendly too. Eddy Izzard was f*cking hillarious.

Jessica Ennis? Yes please!

Oh, and that BBC Floor Manager looked luuuuvely.
