If I were running Iran and had to listen to constant belligerant threats from the US, I'd be quite keen on arming myself too.
If North Korea hadn't managed to provide itself with a deterrant, we'd probably be seeing coffins being flown back from there now, instead of 'just' Afghanistan and Iraq.
Haven't seen either of those nations bombing anyone recently. Wish I could say the same for the US
