Credit to Forster for the first goal

Radio Norfolk gave the credit to the two Martins and the TV replay starts with RM's pass, but I thought Forster made a key contribution. He sprinted across to recover the ball and take a short free kick for the off-side to get RM going, so defenders were out of position and struggling to get back as the Martins did their bit and moved the ball quickly from end to end. Excellent finish with the ball at an awkward height.

In general, there seemed to be a policy of taking free kicks and throw ins quickly, particularly when Wes was involved. No bad thing - I always get frustrated by the policy of waiting for the full back to take throws. It wastes time and allows the defence to reset.

Another item from yesterday: I may have led a sheltered life, but I don't ever remember hearing the phrase "late doors" as used by the Doc in his interview after the match.

Also, is this the start of a new policy of kicking towards the River End in the first half? We did against Brighton, I think, though the comment from Radio Norfolk at that game was that we lost the toss. This time, as Oldham kicked off the first half, we must have chosen to kick that way.
