Worthy

Whilst it is understandable that people will be angry, disillusioned etc over our recent performances I feel certain that the Board will give Worthy every opportunity to turn things around.

Sacking him now will be looked upon as a knee jerk reaction and the likes of Lawro will no doubt have a field day on Football Focus. I reckon the next 8 matches will decide his future one way or the other.

I too have issues over his tactical awareness, lack of proactivity in the transfer market at key points of the year but I think we have to give him a chance.

As for any likely replacements, I think Norwich with 25,000 plus gates/money to spend on players would be a tempting job for the likes of Newell, Taylor or maybe a certain Mr O'Neil. Ok, that may be a bit left field to use some US vernacular but it has got to be worth a phone call.

If the worst does happen, the club should not shirk from making the tough decisions. This decision will have to be made before the turn of the year however to enable any new manager the time to turn things around. No team has a god given right to be in this league. Just ask Forest and Wednesday fans.
