Is there any reason at all, other than his surname, why Darren Ferguson is being touted

on the radio this morning, for the Portsmouth job?

Has he ever managed in the premiership? No.

Has he been successful any higher than the third tier? No, although you can reasonably argue that he didn't have sufficient time this season at Peterborough. Still, an unsuccessful start to his first season at the highest level he's ever managed.

Has he got a very famous and ridiculously successful father? Yes.
