Apparently there's as much competition for comedy

...writers as there's always been. Problem is that BBC sticks with safe stuff (see above), ITV is a bit all over the place Sky doesn't really commission very much and C4 is in big trouble.

The British public don't want comedy. They want the bear pit of I'm a Celeb or their lives are so s**t they live their lives vicariously through celebs and cheap magazines.

And hundreds of thousands of British soldiers died in Flanders, The Somme, Normandy, Alamien for that...

God help us all.
