the great east/west petrol station enigma

as you travel east through europe the act of gettung petrol gets easier. in germany you can push alittle lever and the pump stays on thereby allowing you to be hands-free to smoke or chat on a mobile. even further east (Serbia) and they fill up for you AND wash your windscreen/lights. In Kosovo you don't even need to get out of your car. I reckon in China they give you a complimentary noshing.
