Actually, it really is, but it depends if you're bothered about that sort of thing

You really need Bluray and a good telly to get the full HD experience. The HD TV channels aren't broadcasting in full HD (1080p) and often the broadcasts are just upscaled SD. That's not going to change in the forseeable future either.
