Some thoughts on yesterday

Otsemobor - liability. Every other player has improved under Lambo but he gets worse and worse. Even though it was a dreadful mistake by Hoolahan for the first Otsemobor should have got back and done better. And if he closed down Connolly instead of running away there would have been no second.

Hughes: looks to me to be our best midfielder - can he play base of the diamond instead of Russell.

Martin: as good yesterday as he was bad the week before. Ran them ragged and should have had another penalty.

Doherty: immense again as he was doing his job and Otsemobor's.

Askou: also immense and appeared distraught at the final whistle.

Overall it was a cracking game - Southampton were the best team going forward that we have faced and at the end it was two tired teams both going for it - woul;d have been unfair if either had won it although Holty's effort was brilliant.

Not only have Saints lost a lot of fans, they have lost all the noisy ones.
